One Rotary. One Alaska. One Shared Passion to Serve.
Rotary District 5010 has been on the move , not just in miles traveled, but in lives touched,
conversations shared, and communities strengthened.
Over the past six months, I’ve had the privilege of visiting more than 30 Rotary clubs and
connecting with nearly 1,300 Rotarians across this great state. From Barrow to Ketchikan,
from road-system communities to places only reachable by plane or boat, one truth stood out
everywhere I went:
The most important part of Rotary District 5010 is each and every Rotarian.
The Heart of District 5010
Our clubs may look different.
Our communities face different challenges.
But the heartbeat of Rotary is the same everywhere.
It’s the Rotarian who shows up early and stays late.
The Rotarian who flips the hot dog, mentors a youth, makes the call, writes the check, or quietly
raises a hand to help.
Projects matter. Grants matter. Numbers matter.
But none of it happens without people.
One Alaska Rotary Family
This year, District 5010 came together as a collective unit, showing the strength of Rotarians
working together across Alaska. A perfect example was Hot Dog Days of Summer.
Across the state, Rotarians handed out more than 3,000 hot dogs, celebrating summer,
fellowship, and community connection. It wasn’t about the food — it was about showing up,
building relationships, and reminding our communities that Rotary is visible, welcoming, and
part of everyday Alaska life.
